HOT AIR BLASTING TREATMENT ON OILY FLOORS Engineering & Automotive industries mainly faces a problem of oil spillage on floor. The falling oil is absorbed in the concrete floor and cleaning of such floor becomes almost impossible. The dust and the oil make the floor greasy making the floor un presentable and dirty. For effective treatment of oil contaminated floors, we have developed a hot compressed air blasting machine. The machine provides the fastest & the most effective means of surface preparation. The system is a designed to operate at 800 degree C with the speed of exhaust at 1000 feet per second. The high velocity blast blows ahead burnt and dried particles and loose dirt away from the surface of the concrete leaving it to ready to receive the coating. The heat being blasted, causes vaporization of oil, water or liquid contaminants up to depth of the 25mm of the concrete. This leaves the surface capillary pores empty & open. The scarified floor will be then treated with oil tolerant primer. This method makes upgradation of old , oil soaked and damaged industrial floor in the running plant by taking partial shutdowns for small time intervals. The conventional way of upgradation of these floor requires breaking of the old floor and relaying cementatious floor. The whole operation is messy, time consuming, requires water pounding for curing the newly laid cement floor which further needs resinous floor topping to be done after complete drying of the floor.
