Introduction:
Industrial floors are subjected to high wear, traffic of
materials / vehicles / men/ attack by spillage of chemicals and
oils, impacts by falling loads on floor etc. Due to continuous use
of floor in the running plants, total shut down for floor repairs
is difficult, it is necessary to carry out the floor repairs by
using special materials of quick setting, non messy, high strength
characteristics. We carry out these repair jobs as detailed below: |

Surface Preparation :
The floor is thoroughly abraded followed by chemical wash,
wherever necessary, for removal of contamination of oil, grease,
loose particles, dust etc. The industrial floor, which has oil for
numerous years need relaying of cementatious floor using bonding
agent and polymer modified cement concrete, after removal of top
portion of the oil soaked floor. This is a major floor repair
activity requiring curing of the cementatious floor thereby
involving downtime and wet floor conditions requiring a longer
shut down. |

| The oil soaked floors
are treated by us using specially designed Hot Air Blasting
machine for removal and burning of oil up to 25mm depth. This
operation needs to be immediately followed by application of
speciality oil tolerant epoxy primer to plug the capillary action
responsible for bringing the soaked oil to the surface with
pressure to delaminate the impervious floor topping laid. |

Application:
(1) Repairs to floor by using Epoxy rich mortar :
The industrial floor with pot holes, cracks or depressions can
be repaired by using Epoxy rich mortar enabling use of the
repaired floor, almost instantaneously. The repair work can be
carried out in patches in the running plant without taking major
shut down. Curing by water pounding / surface wetting is not
required in such cases. We carry out the floor repair jobs
starting from surface preparation and application of Epoxy base
coat followed by Epoxy mortar. Seal coat of Epoxy system is
applied on the repaired surface so as to make it ready to receive
further treatment like Epoxy / PU topping etc. |

(2) Floor Topping by
Self Leveling Epoxy / Polyurethane :
The clean rooms and the areas requiring dust proofing require
floor topping of specially designed floor smoothening. Epoxy /
Polyurethane floors are resistant to abrasion, provide dust free
seamless surface which is easy to clean. The coating is resistant
to normal industrial chemicals. These floors can be laid in
various pleasing colors. Epoxy self leveling floors have glossy or
semi glossy in finish. They are hard, impervious and rigid.
Polyurethane self leveling floors are normally semi glossy in
finish. They are flexible impervious and have better abrasion
resistance |

(3) Floor topping by
Epoxy - Polyurethane (EPU) system :
This is a self leveling resinous combination floor topping system
combining advantages of Epoxy and Polyurethane. The finish and the
gloss is of Epoxy and flexibility and wear resistance is of
Polyurethane. |

(4) Epoxy /
Polyurethane Floor Coating :
These are high build , chemical & abrasion resistance
floors finishes, which are easy to clean, non-porous and jointless.
These coating can be textured in wet areas for slip resistance.
The floors coated are pleasing, thus creating different work
culture of cleanliness and industrial hygiene. The average
thickness of the coating is 200-300 microns, they are impervious
thereby by preserving the floor from absorption of oils and
chemicals. Manufacturing areas, Assembly lines, Testing areas,
Analytical laboratories, Computer centers and Industrial Canteens
are the places where these coatings will prove to be very useful. |

(5) Polyurea Coatings
:
These are new generation specialty coatings applied by plural
components spray machine. The coating is cured instantaneously
resulting in tough, non permeable coated surface which is ready to
use no sooner spraying is over. |

(6) Antistatic /
Conductive / Dissipative self leveling flooring :
This is a high breed flooring variety based on Epoxy and
Polyurethane. This is laid on tiled or IPS floor. Apart from the
base of solventless Epoxy primer, there is a intermediate layer of
conductive coat and copper foil. This is top coated by conductive
/ dissipative self leveling resinous material in pleasing shades.
This flooring is recommended in Electronic, Armament, Aeronautics,
Engineering industries and Operation Theaters in hospitals |

(7) Anticorrosive
Coatings for metallic surfaces :
Machines, equipments, vessels of mild steel housed in aggressive
atmosphere need special coatings for corrosion prevention. Pipe
lines, support structures and channel rakes etc are normally in
open areas under attack of changing atmospheric conditions. They
require chemical and UV resistant coatings designed to withstand
exterior conditions. We have developed special corrosion barrier
coatings which can be used even in compromised surface preparation
conditions due to working difficulties. |
